Calling all filmmakers!
Cast your vote now for our finalists in the One-Minute Movie Contest. Click the "cast your vote" tab up above to see our eight finalists. You can see all the submitted movies in the "submitted flicks" tab.
What were the rules? Make a movie that runs one minute or less. It must include a copy of the Post-Dispatch as a prop.
You can upload just about any type of video file -- .avi, .dv, .mov, .qt, .mp4, .wmv and more. We’ll automatically convert them to Flash video files. We recommend you keep your files under 30 MB.
NOTE: Submissions are closed at noon, central time, on Dec. 1. Submissions after that time will not be accepted. Our panel of judges -- film critic Joe Williams, TV critic Gail Pennington and arts and entertainment editor Jody Mitori -- will select the top finalists.
Readers will vote for the winner from the group of finalists starting at noon Dec. 2.
The prize is a basket full of DVDs.
View the entries: Click the "Approved Flicks" tab above to see any of the submitted films. You can "pre-vote" for your favorites and the judges will use readers' votes as one criteria toward selecting finalists.
Can I still play if the contest has already started?
You can submit through the submission period. The dates are listed near the bottom of this page. You can vote through the voting period.
Are there prizes?
Yes. A basketful of DVDs to the winner!
