The Energizer Bunny® is celebrating his 20th birthday at the 2009 Great Forest Park Balloon Race! Help him celebrate by sharing YOUR favorite birthday memory! Then, tell everyone you know to vote for your entry. The person that has the most votes will receive the opportunity to ride in a hot air balloon during this year’s Great Forest Park Balloon race!
The 2009 Great Forest Park Balloon Race is Saturday, September 19. The Balloon Glow will take place on Friday, September 18. Both events will occur in Forest Park on Central Field.

Essay submissions will be accepted through noon on Tuesday, September 1.
Voting will begin at noon on September 1 through noon on Monday, September 14.
The person who has the essay with the most votes will win a ride in a hot air balloon during the Great Forest Park Balloon race!
Winner will also receive:
- Four (4) tickets to the pilot's party following the Balloon Glow
- Four (4) crew field buttons for field access prior to the race
- Four (4) Saturday banquet tickets for after the race
- One (1) VIP parking pass for race day
- One (1) 2009 official race pin
In order to ride in a balloon the winner must be in good health, must not be pregnant, must be under 250 pounds, and over 13 years of age. Please view the contest rules for more information.
